Attention all Club SODA Members! There will be an important Red Ribbon Week meeting on Tuesday, October 20th at 7:20 in room 241.
Today is the LAST day to sign up for girls gymnastics. Please check in at the athletic office for more information.
The Recreation Department is organizing SKI/SNOWBOARD CLUB again this year. Sign up begins October 28 and space is limited. Bus goes on Wednesdays after school, beginning in January. Registration forms can be picked up at the High School Activities Office or download one from the City website at rrcity.com/rec.

Attention all students taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 14: You MUST report to your assigned classroom by 7:20am.

Attention Environmental Club members! Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, October 21 in room 206 after school. If you are ordering a t-shirt, please be sure to bring your $12. If you cannot attend but still want a shirt, please see Mrs. Borgia with your money by October 21.

There will be a Chess Club meeting today after school.

RRHS student Bobby Porter has been nominated for the Cleveland Plain Dealer's “Game Ball” player of the week. Bobby caught a ten-yard touchdown pass, returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown, and intercepted a pass, his seventh of the season, breaking a school record when the Pirates upset Bay, 28-16. Please go to Cleveland.com and vote for Bobby Porter to win the game ball for week seven. Go to High School Sports, then click Week 7 Game Ball, then Voting. Scroll down to Bobby's name and vote, but be careful! There are two Porters on the list. You can vote until noon on Thursday. The winner will be featured in Friday's “Locker Room” section of the Plain Dealer.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the girls' gymnastics team. Please stop down at the Athletic Office for information.

Attention Speech and Debate members: There will be a 15 minute meeting tomorrow in room 219 immediately after school.

Attention anyone interested in seeing “Wicked” at Playhouse Square: Please see Mrs. Garver by the end of this week to order your tickets. We are attending the December 12 evening performance.

The Drama department is holding its annual Sweetest Day Hershey's Kiss Sale this week during lunch periods. Send your sweet a sweet for just $1 and show love, friendship, or secretive admiration (AKA creepin'). The kisses will be delivered on Thursday during second period.

Attention Ohio State University Candidates: The OSU Alumni Club of Greater Cleveland is proud to sponsor two distinctive, merit-based scholarships for high school seniors living in Cuyahoga County who plan to attend OSU in fall 2010. The other scholarships awarded by the Alumni Club are seven OSU Alumni Scholarships in the amount of $600 each. To qualify, the alumni scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria: Rank in the upper quarter of their graduating class, have recommendations from the school principal, counselors, and/or teachers based on scholastic ability and character, and have a record of performing in extracurricular activities. Applications are due by January 15, 2010. A complete packet of information is available in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File.
