Attention Seniors:
The Up Side of Downs of Greater Cleveland is offering a renewable scholarship of $1000 for students enrolled in a 4-year college in the state of Ohio ,and intending to become educators in the general education classroom. Application information is located in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File under the April 30 deadline section.
Attention all Club Soda members! We will have a meeting this Wednesday, February 25th at 7:20 in room 241. This meeting is important for all members to attend, as we wont be meeting the week of OGTs. Please bring your $12 t-shirt money to this meeting.
The Ohio Association for Career College and Schools is offering more than 180 scholarship opportunities for post-secondary training in various fields. Please review the information packet located in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File under April 1 deadline section.
Attention Spanish Club. On Thursday, February 26th we will be having an important meeting in Senorita Barkin's room 235 starting at 3:15. After meeting, stay for a showing of La Cuarta Plants, a heartwarming film about a group of teenage boys dealing with cancer, who seem to overcome many barriers and create fun and happiness in a seemingly dismal situation.

Attention Seniors:

The Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences will be awarding two $2000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. High school seniors who plan to attend a four-year college and intend to pursue a career in television or television related fields are eligible to apply. An application information form located in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File under the March 15th deadline section.
If you've ever thought of becoming a Radiologist or working as a Radiology Technician, now is the time to get your questions answered. Sign up outside of room 200 or a career presentation in the distance learning lab on Wednesday March 4th during 6th period. Maybe working with x-rays and MRI's is in your future!
Attention all students interested in working on tech crew or stage crew for the Spring musical, we will begin working Monday February 23 at 4:30pm on stage. Please plan on attending!
A tryout meeting for boys baseball is scheduled for Tuesday February 24th at 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Any student-athlete ,not involved in a winter sport, wishing to tryout for baseball this spring should attend.If you have any questions, see Coach Clark after school or stop in the Student Activities Office for more details.
Congrats goes to the Boys Diving Team last night. Daniel O'Callaghan took 14 districts and Thomas Moran took 5th place. Thomas will be advancing on to States next Wednesday in Canton at the C.T Branin Natatorium.
Attention Senior Project Candidates:

The Project Application and Community Sponsor and Parental Agreement Forms are due on March 2. Please review the application with your faculty advisor. Goals and objectives should be stated clearly ,and the application should be of "resume quality"

The regular deadline for the ACT college entrance test is Friday, February 27th. The test date is April 4h. For further information see your guidance counselor.
Attention Seniors- Planning for the 2009 Baccalaureate Service has begun. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 2/25 during seminar in the media center. If you are interested in being involved but cannot attend the meeting on 2/25, please let Mr. Wagner or Mr.Knauss know.

Congratulations to the boys swim teams on their success at sectionals.The boys swim tea m swam Friday afternoon at Akron and is sending 6 boys: Mike Amrbrozic,James Harris, Mike Kariotakis, Danny Pris, Peter Stark, and Ian Stark to the District Tournament.
The girls team swam on Saturday at Lakewood and won the sectional>tournament. Girls advancing to Districts are: Paige Ferber, Maggie Kilbane,Abby Kacpura, Meredith Hauck, Stephanie Thomas, Annie Camerino, Marisa Hanson,Melissa Belanger,Katie Perez , Megan Auzenbergs,Natalie Golz. CONGRATULATIONS on your GREAT ACHIEVEMENTS!!!!
Hear Matt Mitchelltree and Mary Farah's music piece tommorow at the Cleveland State University Undergraduate Composition Student Concert. The concert will be held at the CSU Drinko Hall at 7:30pm.
