school year has begun. A letter containing your username, password, and instructions for entering classes online was mailed home on February 2, 2009.

The dead line for on-line course entry is Thursday, Feb 12, 2009. All course registration forms must be turned in during English class on Friday Feb 13, 2009.

Your Lady Pirates return home this Saturday and Monday nights with games against Bay and Avon. Although undefeated in West Shore Conference Action, wins against Bay and Avon should seal the conference championship. Presale tickets only cost $2 or $4 at the door. Game time is 6 p.m. Saturday against Bay and 6 p.m against Avon! GO PIRATES!!!

ATTENTION SENIORS It is time to order your Graduation Supplies! Jostens will be here on Friday, February 6th from 2pm-3:15pm in the Wagar Lobby to take your Graduation Announcements, class ring, cap and gown orders. Extra order packets are available in the main office.
Anyone willing to help with Winter Formal decorating on February 14, please stop in to Mr. Wagner's seminar in room 201 this week. All help will be appreciated!
Looking ahead to June, part of the traditional graduation experience is an optional student-led religious celebration called Baccalaureate. Local clergy will meet with the seniors interested in helping to plan Baccalaureate service. the first meeting will be on Wednesday, February 11 during seminar in the Media center. If you are interested in being involved but cannot attend the meeting on February 11 please let Mr. Wagner or Mr. Knauss know.

The senior long shot is this Wednesday February 4th at 1:30 p.m.
The boys and girls freshman basketball teams play today vs. Midview. The girls start at 5:30 and the boys at 7. The boys team is currently undefeated. Come our and support the Pirates.

Attention all Club Soda members- there will be a meeting on Wednesday, February 4th at 7:20 in room 241. Also on February 4th, members participating in the video project are to report to room 241 during 4B
The Fifth Annual Talent Show will be next Thursday at 7 p.m. There will be a run-through of all acts for anyone interested in participating on Tuesday, February 10 in the auditorium. You must show your act in order to be in the talent show. You may sign up for a time outside the music office down the band hallway. Acts of all kind are welcome. If you have any questions, please see a drama club officer or Mrs. Garver, who is available in the auditorium every day after school.
If you did not receive your report card, please see Mrs. McGovern in the Main Office. All unclaimed report cards will be mailed home on Friday.

Winter Formal is coming soon (February 14th, 2009 from 8-11 p.m.) Tickets are $15 per person and $30 per couple. They go on sale February 9th thru February 13th in the Wagar Lobby.

Congratulations to the Rocky River Band for hosting a successful Greater Cleveland Solo & Ensemble event on Saturday, thanks to the hard work of the staff, parents, and student volunteers.

Congratulations also goes out to the Band and Choir students who performed solos and small ensemble pieces at the Greater Cleveland and OMEA event last Saturday. The preparation and musical talents of those students were consistently recognized by the judges' ratings and comments.
