Attention Seniors: The Cleveland Cavaliers and FirstMerit Bank understand the importance of continued education and are pelased to offer high school seniors with the opportunity to receive a college or post-high school education scholarship. Through the Cavaliers/FirstMerit Scholarship Program, they will award ten $2,000 scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic year. Application packets are available in the Guidance Office's scholarship file under the February 15 deadline section.

Attention Sophomores: Josten's will be here to take your Rocky River Class Ring Orders on Wednesday, October 7 during lunch in the Wagar Lobby. Rings will be on display on Wednesday and extra order packets are available in the main office.

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in doing crew for the fall musical on after school on Wednesday, October 7 in Mrs. Garver's room. Crews for the show involve stage crew, costumes, makeup, publicity, house, and props.

Attention all students with parking tags: If you had a temporary license plate when you purchased a parking tag, you must see Mrs. McGovern as soon as you receive your permanent license plates to update your parking information.

Men must register with Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday. It is their obligation and the law. Registration takes only a few minutes on the Internet at www.sss.gov or a registration form can be picked up at your local post office. Please note, once you register you stay eligible for programs and benefits connected to registration, such as college loans and grants, federal jobs, job training, etc. Please see Mrs. Urbin in the Guidance Office with any questions.

Attention all students: please be sure to rinse out your cans and bottles before recycling. The Earth thanks you!

Are you thinking about becoming a teacher one day? Do you like to help others? If so, then please attend the next ESU meeting during seminar tomorrow. ESU is looking for enthusiastic people who like to have fun while helping others. Please see Mrs. Barrett or Mrs. Macdonald if you have any questions or cannot attend.

There is a presentation in the Distance Learning Lab for careers in Nutrition and Dietary Fields. Interested students can sign up now outside of room 200. The presentation will be on Thursday, October 15 during 5th period.

There is also a distance learning presentation for careers in the performing arts with the cast and crew of the Broadway tour of Young Frankenstein. The program is Tuesday, October 20 during 6th period. If interested, please see Mrs. Kleinsmith or Mrs. Garver.
