Today is your last chance to sign up for the career presentation explaining all the different construction trades. It will be held on Thursday Feb 19th during 5th period in the distance learning lab. Sign up outside of room 200.
There will be a Club Soda meeting Wednesday, February 18th at 7:20in room 241. In addition, students participating in video in the video project sould plan on meeting Mrs.Liberatore during seminar
Congratulations to the Model UN Members who received awards at our Chicago Conference, This conference had 2,500 students from all over USA and World, competing. Competition was very high ,and we are extremely proud of our outstanding delegates: Kevin Moeller Kara Emery Ashley Weaver Emily Egan Matt Hagan Connor King Katrina Velickovic Jenna Berg. Congratulations to all members receiving such high honors!

Announcement for yearbook sales:

The sale ends February 28th 2009. The cost is $65. Postcards were sent home and you can also buy online from a link on the high school's website. If you have any questions see Miss. Bogart and she also has the list of students that have already bought a yearbook.

There will be a Softball Informational Meeting tomorrow February 12 at 3:30 in the Maroon and White Room. If you are interested in playing this spring, please plan on attending.
The Bloodmobile is coming to Rocky River High School on March 2. Sign-ups are from now through February 18 in English classes. Donors must be at least 17 years old and weigh 110 pounds. Thank you and donate blood.

Attention AFS Officers: There will be an officer meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, February 11th in the Media Center at 7:30am. We will be discussing our upcoming AFS week.
The Westlake Garden Club Scholarships intended to help the recipient(s) further the knowledge of gardening, community conservation and civic Beauty to encourage as they pursue study in the areas of horticulture, forestry agriculture, environmental science, botany and landscaping. Applications are available in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File under the April 1 deadline section.
The WISE Cleveland Scholarship Program was established to provide scholarships to women who are graduating high school seniors and female residents of the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Area with career interests in the area of events of sports and pursuing a four-year degree with an intended course of study in sports management, communications, physical education, business or related fields. for more information and for scholarship materials, go to www.wisecleveland.com.
The Lebanese-Syrian Junior Womens League is awarding 2 $1,000 scholarships to an academically outstanding young man and women of Lebanese or Syrian descent residing int the Greater Cleveland area.the student must be graduating in either the January or June class of the current school year with a "B" or better scholastic average. Applications are available in the Guidance Office's Scholarship File under the March 31 deadline section.
Congratulations to the Rocky River speech and debate team for qualifying for a total of 16students for the state tournament taking place at Cincinnati next month. the team took 3rd place out of 30 teams and was the top public school in the district.
Your speech and debate state qualifiers are as followed: Seniors Michelle Chaho, Mary Farah, Carson Tompkins, Sara McCormick, ans Paige Nagy. Juniors Henry Nisiobincki, Steven Lesiecki, Aaron Reinhard, Austin Simeone, and Jake Thorn. Sophomores,Marko Paulic, Allison Morse, Thayer Tompkins, and Zach Paull. And freshman Alaina Valkoff and Brian Thorn.
